Polyurethane Resin Beckocoat VPU
Item Number: 19180-V
Our Beckocoat is a glossy polyurethane resin suitable for floor sealing, wood coatings, and concrete impregnation.
It is used as a primer for concrete surfaces prior to applying a fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) coating (e.g., for pool and pond construction).
- Excellent adhesion to wood, concrete, screed, and steel
- Low viscosity
- Good wetting properties
- Good chemical resistance
- Contains solvents; should not be used in living areas or adjacent rooms
- Suitable for priming and sealing damp substrates in basements
- Abrasion-resistant, liquid-tight coating in warehouses
- Yellowish-transparent color that intensifies under the influence of UV radiation (yellowing, brownish-transparent).
Application:
- Application temperature from 18°C
- Cures to a non-sticky finish
- 1-component (air-curing), applied without a hardener!
- Coverage of approx. 200–250 ml/m² on absorbent substrates (wood, screed, concrete)
- Coverage of approx. 100 ml/m² on non-absorbent substrates (steel)
- 2 to 3 coats, 150–200 ml/m² on damp masonry
Notes:
The evaporating solvents—combined with the product’s ability to penetrate various substrates—can cause a (prolonged) unpleasant odor, which is undesirable in living spaces.
For commercial users only. In accordance with the EU REACH Regulation, training on the handling of diisocyanates is mandatory for all users.
