Casting resin is a versatile synthetic resin that is mainly used in electrical and construction technology as well as in arts and crafts. It is used for insulation, casting and protection of electrical components, but also for the production of decorative objects, jewellery or models. Casting resin hardens after mixing the resin and hardener and forms a solid, transparent or colored surface. It is characterized by high resilience, good adhesion and resistance to moisture and chemicals.
Properties of casting resin
- Transparency: Casting resin is characterized by its high clarity and is particularly well suited for applications where a glass-like appearance is desired.
- Versatility: It can be colored, mixed with pigments, glitter, or other materials, and adapted for a wide variety of projects.
- Self-leveling: After pouring, the resin spreads evenly and forms a smooth surface.
- Easy to work with: With a little practice, casting resin is easy to handle, both for hobbyists and professional businesses.

Thanks to the various design options, they can become a unique feature in any room. The combination of wood, synthetic resin, and color gives the table a decorative effect. We offer a matching epoxy resin set including hardener, resin inks, and pigments.

Casting resins are more fluid in terms of viscosity, enabling them to penetrate small cavities more effectively or to coat objects more thoroughly.
Absolutely not! Casting resins are available with different reaction times, which are important to prevent overheating or burning. There is always a specification for the casting height to be achieved, which should not be exceeded. We offer three different systems.
- Epox R1 H1 for casting heights of up to almost 2 cm
- Epox R2 H2 for casting heights of up to 5 cm
- Epox R3 H3 for casting heights of up to 10 cm
Our clear, transparent epoxy-based casting resin is ideal for embedding, mold casting, coatings, and encapsulation. Our casting resin adheres very well to almost all materials (fiberglass-reinforced plastic, wood, glass, stone, porcelain).
The processing temperature should be between 20-30°C and not below 10°C. The relative humidity should not exceed 70%. The hardener must be added to the casting resin in the exact proportions specified; please refer to the technical data sheet. High temperatures result in faster curing; low temperatures can slow down the curing process considerably.
Before use, all components should be thoroughly stirred/homogenized to ensure proper curing. When working with casting resin, you should measure the resin and hardener precisely using scales; the mixing ratio must be strictly adhered to! For larger batches (2 kg or more), use a mixer, drill, and uni-mixing rod for mixing. Scrape the bottom and edges and stir thoroughly. We also recommend repotting (transferring the mixture to a second container). For optimal bonding when applying multiple layers, work wet-on-wet. Think about your health and observe occupational safety regulations.
Our casting resin is clear and can be colored. We offer liquid ink and metallic color pigments for this purpose. Other fillers or decorative materials are also possible. Please note, however, that adding these materials can change the system, for example, the surface texture or the degree of hardness.
