Gelcoat
Our gelcoat is an unsaturated polyester resin based on isophthalic acid, highly thixotropic, pre-accelerated and suitable for brushing. It is used to produce fine layers for GF-UP moulded parts, water tanks, boat and façade construction. The gelcoat has good surface hardness with high toughness, high weather and seawater resistance. The gelcoat, as a protective layer on moulded parts made of fibre-reinforced plastics, is transparent and can be coloured with our colour pastes.

It is thixotropic, does not form tears on vertical surfaces, is colorless, and can be colored with our color pastes. It is pre-accelerated, cures quickly, is extremely scratch-resistant, shock-resistant, and impact-resistant, yet remains semi-elastic, preventing cracking and hairline cracks. It serves as a protective coating for polyester laminates such as boats, car body parts, decorative trim, containers, sanitary ware, and much more. It is resistant to various chemicals and has a high resistance to osmosis.
It is sprayable and colorless, can be colored with our color pastes, is pre-accelerated, and cures quickly. The gelcoat is extremely scratch-resistant, shock-resistant, and impact-resistant. It is also semi-elastic, which prevents cracking and hairline cracks. It serves as a protective coating for polyester laminates such as boats, car body parts, decorative trim, containers, and sanitary ware. The sprayable SG gelcoat is resistant to various chemicals and has a high resistance to osmosis.
Viapal mold building coat, an unsaturated polyester resin based on tetrahydrophthalic acid, is highly thixotropic and pre-accelerated. It is perfectly suited for the production of thin layers for GK and UP molded parts. Our mold building gelcoat is characterized by excellent resistance to styrene, increased elongation at break, and impact strength, making it ideal as a thin layer for molded parts. We offer the mold building gelcoat in transparent or black.

Please note that cured resins can only be removed by mechanical cleaning, such as sanding. Acetone can be used to remove uncured resin residue from tools. Ensure that the tools are sufficiently dry to prevent contamination in new containers.
