Epoxy-Gelcoat

Gelcoat is an epoxy resin hardener system for protective coatings on moulded parts and coatings. It is applied to the mould after the release coating. In coatings, it is used for surface finishing.

Our epoxy resin gelcoat system ‘Epox4300/Hardener390’ prevents moisture penetration (hydrolysis) and has good light resistance and very good chemical resistance. Our epoxy gelcoat is also used as osmosis protection, a water barrier layer, wood pore filler and as a surface resin for carbon laminates. The epoxy resin Epox 4300 with hardener 390 cures tack-free and clear and has very good adhesion to wood, metal, concrete, polystyrene and GRP.

Our gelcoat system “Epox4300/Hardener390” protects against moisture penetration (hydrolysis) and is characterized by good light resistance and excellent chemical resistance. It is used as protection against osmosis, as a water barrier, as a pore filler for wood, and as a surface resin for carbon laminates.

The remarkable properties of our epoxy resin “Epox4300/Hardener390” gelcoat system at a glance:

It adheres excellently to wood, metal, concrete, polystyrene, GRP, and many other materials. Dries tack-free and transparent, has medium viscosity, is solvent- and filler-free. Has excellent resistance to chemicals and light, and this resin-hardener combination is also highly resistant to yellowing and chalking.

The combination of Epox 4300 epoxy resin and hardener 390 cures clear and residue-free, and adheres very well to wood, metal, concrete, polystyrene, and fiberglass.

It dries to a non-sticky, transparent finish, has medium viscosity, and is free of solvents and fillers. It has excellent resistance to chemicals and light, and this resin-hardener combination is also highly resistant to yellowing and chalking.

The mixing ratio for our epoxy gelcoat is 100 parts to 55 parts by weight, measured using digital scales!
