fillers

The properties of the resins are changed by fillers, e.g. mechanical properties such as hardness, thermal shock resistance, dimensional stability, flow and processing properties and abrasion resistance are improved.

  • Glass fibre chips are used for the production of fibre-reinforced filling, bonding and pressing compounds.
  • Microballs hollow glass microspheres are used to create light, easily grindable fillers and coves. Inorganic hollow microspheres are also used to reduce the weight of resin layers.
  • Microflocks cotton flocks are used for the production of fillers and adhesives, as well as for coupling layers in mould making.
  • Thixotropic agent is used for the production of non-leaking topcoat resins and for the production of fillers and adhesives.
  • Paraffin solution can be added to the laminating resin or gelcoat to achieve a tack-free curing surface.
