Laminating Resin

Our laminating resins for hand lay-up and fibre spraying processes are medium to highly reactive, cobalt-preaccelerated, thixotropic, unsaturated polyester resins based on orthophthalic acid. Due to their outstanding special properties, polyester resin laminating resins are preferably used for the manufacture of tanks, boats, car bodies and industrial components that are subject to higher requirements.



What is the difference between sticky and non-sticky?

Sticky means that the side facing the air hardens and remains sticky, so that sanding is not necessary before applying another coat. However, by adding paraffin, the chemical properties can be changed so that it hardens without sticking to the air side. In this case, sanding is necessary.

Non-sticky means that the air-facing surface cures non-sticky, so sanding is necessary before applying another layer.


Our polyester laminating resins are based on unsaturated polyester resins, orthophthalic acid, and medium to high-reactive cobalt pre-accelerated materials. You can laminate polyester resin with all types of reinforcing fibers. The most popular GRP fiber in the polyester sector is glass fiber mat.
