Vacuum Infusion
In this section, you will find all the materials you need for the simplest resin injection process, vacuum infusion. The high fibre volume fraction achieved by this process ensures high strength of the fibre composite. As a closed system, vacuum infusion offers significant advantages in terms of component quality and is the better alternative both ecologically and economically.

The vacuum infusion process is a simple resin injection process that ensures a high fiber volume fraction and thus high strength of the fiber composite. In this closed system, a vacuum environment is created to inject the resin into the fiber structure. Compared to other processes, vacuum infusion has many advantages, including improved component quality and an environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternative.
In vacuum infusion, the dry fiber is first placed in a mold and secured. The mold is then sealed with a vacuum film. In the next step, a vacuum is created and the liquid resin is injected. The infusion is carried out solely by means of the vacuum. The negative pressure draws the resin between the mold and the film, preventing contact with the outside air. After curing for several hours at room temperature, the film is removed and disposed of.
We offer all the necessary materials, tools, and accessories for vacuum infusion in our online shop PHD-24.
The perforated film is designed to allow excess resin to pass through it. This makes it much easier to separate the flow aid and the release liner.
The spiral hoses must be secured to the flow aid to enable optimal vacuum infusion. The spiral hoses serve both to remove air and to supply resin.
Our vacuum sealing tapes are ideal for securing and sealing vacuum films. Start by applying the sealing tape to the edge of the mold or to the lower vacuum film. Then gradually remove the upper carrier film while applying and securing the covering vacuum film.
Our vacuum film, in combination with our vacuum sealing tape, provides excellent isolation of your component from the environment. After a leak test, you can begin the infusion process.
