Aliphatic single-component polyurethane resin for protecting swimming pools

DESCRIPTION

PU Topcoat 1-K is a high-performance polyurethane resin based on aliphatic isocyanate that cures upon reaction with atmospheric moisture, resulting in a hard yet flexible coating. PU Topcoat 1-K provides excellent surface protection for structures exposed to water, such as swimming pools, ponds, and water park slides and pools. This product does not yellow when exposed to sunlight.

APPLICATIONS

  • Swimming pools
  • Ponds
  • Water reservoirs
  • Water channels and tanks
  • Slides and other water park structures

PROPERTIES

  • Clear, glossy topcoat.
  • Single-component product, easy to apply.
  • Color and UV stability.
  • Resistant to chlorinated water.
  • Can be pigmented.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

  • Recommended application rate: approx. 750 g/m² (walls: min. 5 coats; floors: min. 3 coats).
  • Application temperature: minimum 20°C, maximum 30°C.
  • Opened containers should be used promptly; after first opening, they can be stored in the original container, sealed airtight, for a maximum of 3–4 days. We recommend purging the air with nitrogen before storage, as trapped air can cause curing.
  • Application: On walls, apply two coats with pigment and three coats without pigment. On floors, apply one or two coats with pigment and one or two without pigment, depending on coverage. (Do not wait longer than 24 hours before applying the next coat.)
  • Mix only as much pigment with PU topcoat as you can use in a single day.
  • Full curing may take up to 15 days.
  • Protect from water and UV radiation until fully cured!
  • Please refer to the technical data sheet and application instructions.
