- For hand lay-up and fiber spray processes
- It is a medium-reactive, cobalt-preaccelerated, thixotropic, unsaturated polyester resin based on orthophthalic acid
- Curing takes place at room temperature with the addition of a ketone peroxide such as MEKP hardener DD-MP1
- Equipped with a peroxide indicator that confirms the addition of hardener by changing color from green to brownish
- Has excellent impregnation properties. The thixotropic setting prevents the resin from running off vertical surfaces. Pre-acceleration results in a relatively long gel time in combination with a relatively low temperature peak at normal curing time. The low temperature peak allows a laminate build-up of up to 8 mm in a single operation
- is preferably used for the manufacture of tanks, boats, car bodies, and industrial components using the hand lay-up and fiber spray methods
- The polyester resin should be stirred thoroughly before use.
- Processing temperature from 18°C.
- Processing time (at 20°C) is between 25-40 minutes (depending on hardener addition).
- Hardener addition of 1.3-2.4%.
- Cures sticky.
