Carbon prepregs for the manufacture of high-strength components in motorsports, wind energy, sports equipment manufacturing, and boat, ship, and aircraft construction.
In multiaxial prepregs, unlike in fabrics, multiple unidirectional (UD) plies (fiber strands) are stitched together at a specific angle of +/- 45° to one another. The drapability (flexibility) is very good; it is recommended for rapid processing. A particular advantage is that torsion layers can be laminated without waste.
