Product description:
Our styrene-free DIEPAL S-20-V is a medium-viscosity, medium-reactive unsaturated polyester resin based on isophthalic acid and neopentyl glycol dissolved in vinyltoluene, which, after curing, yields products with good thermal and mechanical properties and is suitable for virtually all standard processing methods.
DIEPAL S-20-V is particularly well-suited for the production of molded parts that require increased chemical and thermal resistance.
Processing:
- DIEPAL S-20-V should be processed at room temperature (15–25 °C). Lower processing temperatures negatively affect curing.
- The polyester resin should be thoroughly stirred before use.
- Working time approx. 25–35 min. (room temperature 23°C) with 2% MEKP hardener DD-MP1
- Do not process at resin and room temperatures below 18°C.
- Shelf life at 20°C: 3 months
- Color: light brown
- Cures tacky
Our 300 g/m² fiberglass mats consist of 50 mm long E-glass fibers coated with a powder or emulsion binder. They are characterized by excellent impregnation properties, uniform basis weight, and good drapability, making them particularly suitable for hand lay-up and pressing processes. Intended for use with polyester resin. With a resin consumption of 0.8–1 kg/m², a laminate thickness of approx. 0.7 mm is achieved. Roll width: 1.27 m, length: 0.79 m (1.27 m x 0.79 m = 1 m² folded)
