3D|CORE™ is the ideal foam core for your lightweight construction applications. The rapid curing of the resin systems at low processing temperatures results in significant energy savings. The exceptional strength of the final product, combined with 3D moldability during the manufacturing process, makes it ideal for all applications where weight reduction is a key consideration. During the production of composite parts, the structure is filled with resin. The cured resin in the structure and the foam core form a hybrid with excellent technical properties.
Foam type:
- PET is a cost-effective foam system for sandwich constructions made of extruded polyethylene terephthalate.
- XPS is a cost-effective foam system for sandwich constructions made from extruded polystyrene.
Type / Structure:
- The 3D|CORE™ PET GR foam core is a colored foam (greenish, gray, or bluish) made from post-consumer plastics, consisting of 100% recycled material.
- The 3D|CORE™ PET 100 and 3D|CORE™ PET 150 cores are all-rounders and are particularly suitable for the construction of high-strength lightweight components subjected to high continuous loads.
- The 3D|CORE™ XPS for ultra-lightweight construction applications, available in three structures: Hexagon, Rhombus, and Delta. This offers greater flexibility and simplifies handling.
