DIEPAL Topcoat ST is a transparent topcoat based on a pre-accelerated polyester resin consisting of a combination of neopentyl glycol and isophthalic acid, which can be colored with our color pastes.
Properties and intended use
- Slightly thixotropic, no runs on vertical surfaces
- Pre-accelerated
- Fast curing
- Excellent filling power
- Dries tack-free
- Suitable as a protective coating for the rough side of fiber-reinforced polyester, e.g., on the inside of boats, tanks, silos, car body components, filling funnels, truck floors, etc.
Processing instructions
- Stir the individual components well before use. Add the hardener to the base and stir in carefully.
- Mixing ratio: 100.0 base: 2.0 MEKP hardener DD-MP1 (parts by weight)
- Do not mix more than can be applied within the pot life.
- Recommended layer thickness 300–400 μm (dry layer), depending on application
- Yield at 300 μm (dry layer): approx. 2.4 m²/kg
- Processing time: 10 minutes at 25°C, 15 minutes at 20°C, 20 minutes at 15°C
