- Unsaturated polyester resin dissolved in styrene, cobalt pre-accelerated and light-stabilized
- Preferably used for the production of crystal-clear or colored molded parts or for embedding promotional gifts
- This polyester resin cures to a crystal-clear finish.
- Please note that this resin is paraffin-free and therefore cures to a slightly sticky surface (on the air side), similar to a gel coat. If the surface is covered airtight, e.g., with vacuum film, the surface will cure without sticking. You are welcome to contact our technical department by phone or email for advice.
Processing:
- Viapal UP 223 BS/65 polyester resin is used for casting processes.
- Molded parts or castings up to a layer thickness of 5 cm or a volume of 5 liters can be produced in a single step.
- Molded parts with larger volumes can be produced crack-free using a multi-layer casting process.
- Can be colored with polyester color pastes.
- Processing temperature from 18°C.
- Processing time at 20°C approx. 30 minutes (with 1% hardener added).
- Hardener addition of 0.8–2% (depending on the size of the molded part). MEKP hardener.
