Forged carbon is becoming increasingly common and is used across various industries. Its unique appearance also makes it a sought-after material for designers, artists, and individualists.
The carbon fiber flakes are processed with epoxy resin. The mixture of epoxy resin and chopped carbon fiber can be molded into almost any shape. The carbon fibers are not woven together as in conventional carbon fabrics, resulting in no distinct pattern and making every piece of Forged Carbon unique. Thanks to its superior moldability, even complex geometries can be produced.
Applications include automotive manufacturing (e.g., carbon fiber covers and trim), motorsports, wind energy, and medical technology (e.g., prosthetics or wheelchair components). Carbon is also used in boat and shipbuilding, the sports equipment industry, drone construction, model making, and the production of high-strength components.
