Description:
Release Wax Standard 2 is a wax-based release agent and corrosion protection that combines two products in one. Release agent for industrial polyurethane foam, thermoplastic, and thermoset processing. Excellent results are achieved in cold foaming. Release Wax Standard 2 can also be used in the processing of wood and epoxy resins. The applied coating can be polished and has very good sliding properties. Separating Wax Standard 2 also provides temporary corrosion protection for molds and tools when they are to be stored or transported. Separating Wax Standard 2 does not contain any chlorinated hydrocarbons (CHF-free).
Application:
Separating wax Standard 2 forms a dry wax coating and prevents “creeping” in molds and tools. When the molds are put back into production, the wax coating melts during the heating phase and provides additional separating properties. Recommended layer thickness: 15 - 20 μm. With Separating Wax Standard 2, no time-consuming cleaning is necessary for polyurethane foaming. Properly coated workpieces are protected from the effects of the saltwater atmosphere during transport by ship in suitable overseas packaging.
Instructions for use:
The parts to be treated should be clean, grease-free, and dry. Stir or shake the product before use. Apply an even, thin coat to surfaces using an aerosol can, brush, sponge, or suitable spray device. The film can be polished for approx. 30 minutes at room temperature. After the drying phase, which may vary depending on the room temperature, the film is dry and non-stick. For mold release applications, the film is suitable as a release agent immediately after spraying. For effective overseas protection, two coats are required with sufficient drying time between applications.
